Article1:
The title of this article is “Biogenic amine modulation of honey bee sociability and nestmate affiliation”. I found this article from Academic Search Complete by searching “bees and social behavior” and restrict my research options to scholarly/peer-reviewed articles. This research focus on how analyze the relationship between biogenic amines can modulation and some social behaviors. They believed that biogenic amines can modulate range of social behaviors.Their methods are very complicated. They controlled the places of which the subjects honey bees come from. They used topical treatment and injection to control the level of biogenic amine of the honeybees. They conducted a sociability and nestmate affilation test to test the social behaviors of the honeybees with different level of biogenic amine. This research also provided many graph to help them analyze the results. The conclusion is that the dopamine(a kind of biogenic amine)has a strong causal role in bee sociability. This study help us to know that chemical can influence the social behaviors of bees by providing many statistical graphs and analyzing them.

The title of the second article is “Modulatory Communication Signa Performancels Associated with a Distinct Neurogenomic State in Honey Bees “The key words l used for searching is bees and communication”.This study is focusing on the relationship between the communication and the neurogenic state of sender. The researchers think that communication affects the neurogenomic state of the sender. The researchers used methods, such as sample selection, analyzing data and graphs.mRNA Quantification and etc. The conclusion is that"the animal communication can be characterized by distinct neurogenomic states in the brains of both senders and receivers. This study uses many professional ways of analysis.such as functional analysis to tell us that animal communication may relate to genic reasons.
In all, I think the UC Libraries is a very convenient and useful tool for me to do research for my writing 39c class. Academic Search Complete is an easier tool to use! It is the best tool that I have ever used for research purpose. One thing that I always worried about is how I can know that the resources I found are academic sources, and I don’t need to worry about it anymore since Academic Search Complete can filter the results for me. The source are reliable! Also, I can find a great amount of sources by using this tool, and it can save a lot of time for me. The research papers found through Academic Source Complete contains many useful information as well. I really like this tool and I will use it a lot for my own research!
These resources seem really interesting, however it seems like the information would be hard to follow. If you believe this is a good source, then I fully support the use of it. Just be mindful of how well you can paraphrase or explain complicated research and how it ties in to your claim. Good luck!
These look like really complicated studies--have you vetted them to make sure they are some of the most well-known studies having to do with bees and communication? Who are the most famous researchers of bees?
