I did another intensive twitter exploration this week. What I learned this week is that I can follow some uses who are interested in the same animal research topic as me, and I can find some useful information from them. For example, I followed a person @juliabonz. She is a PhD student who is in the Cariveau Native Bee Lab at the UMN. She retweeted many news about bees’ research. By reading the tweets she tweeted or retweeted, I found a lot of information about different animal research. I recommend this way of finding information to all of my classmates! It is good to find some PhD students to follow, because they have many researching resources, and you can find a lot of information you need from them. I found more interesting facts about bees this week, such as the relationship between biogenic amine and the social behavior of bees. I will continue to research more on bees.
I replied to Yang Tang, Kaiyang Jiang, and Jiatong Tan this week. Yang points out that good images will attract people’s attention immediately. I did not really realize this before, since I think the pictures are there for decoration purpose. I am happy to learn this from Yang. It surprised me that Kaiyang’s research focus is on tigers. I am afraid of tigers, and I think many people do. Thus, I am very interested in Kaiyang’s research. Maybe I will change me mind after reading his research paper. Jiatong’s research focus is on elephants, and it’s so nice for him to recommended some twitter accounts to the class. I found my classmates all have interesting research topics. I am looking forward to read my classmates’ research papers.
